I was looking for a basic jam and jelly manual like that by Ethelind Fearon from the 1950s. That is so expensive in the original form and I can't find a reprint. This will have to do. On the upside, the book has some quite interesting combinations like Banana and nectarine curd, peach and hazelnut preserve. I will try both of these. The book has pretty illustrations which make it ideal for a gift, which is why I bought it.
