An excellent CD showcasing Jan Hammer's soundtrack for television with bias towards Miami Vice. Classic well scored synth driven soundscapes from the 80s that has not lost any of its appeal since I first heard it all those years ago as the backing track to the tv series.
This CD is dripping with the vibe and mental imagery of the coolest 80s TV programme ever. Crockett's Theme is the opening track and it continues from there. Forever did not appear in Miami Vice and is a bit 'euro', however the extended mix at the end is a little better. Following the boom of rave culture since this album was released in 1987, its really interesting to listen how electronic music used to produced, compared to now. A person who wasn't/isn't into Miami Vice may not get this album. For a person who was/is, this is nirvana.
Great work-out music from the late 1980's. Also, good to drive to. Really wakes you up. Quite inspiring. Well worth listening to.
