So I'll preface this review in that I already owned a pair of Q300, which are the slightly bigger stand mount speakers in the Q range. The Q300, although big for stand mounts are exceptional speakers: imagining is great once setup; clarity across the frequency range is beautiful, and they can extend quite low (around 40Hz) whilst remaining composed. There range is a good deal better than most floor standers under £600! They do benefit from a decent pair of stands otherwise the base does get a little woolly. As you can tell I'm a fan. Picking up the Q100 they do 95% of what their bigger brothers manage. They don't extend quite so low, but much lower than most smallish bookshelf speakers. I would say the imaging is even better than with the Q300. Can be driven hard if needs be, or happy sitting in a nearfield configuration. Planning on putting these on stands in the man cave for music, movies and gaming. If I find I miss some of the very low-end extension I will look to add a small sub, but honestly I don't think I'll be rushing out to do that just yet. Quick comparison to my Monitor Audio MR1's (which I'm happy with pumping sound around my kitchen): - Better imaging - Better overall clarity - Would consider the MR1's a little bright on the treble, whilst the Q100's seem better balanced (maybe due to less mid range clarity in the MR1's) Given the price the Q range can be picked up for right now, I doubt you could find a better set of bookshelves or stand mounts for the money.Read full review

As above, these speakers sound amazing, the separation and dynamics has to be heard. they don't have much deep bass so i have them in a 2.1 setup for films and music, lovely accurate open top end. there's nothing that comes close at this or double the price point in my opinion. careful pairing to amplifier is crucial, nothing to bright sounding so something warm like Marantz pm. they also took a long time to run in, a little shrill out of the box.

Great speakers with classic British sound. Too bright for my small office but perfect as front speakers for a 5.1 setup.
