I bought this as a simple solution for removing the KMC missing link when on the go as it is smaller and lighter than the park tools version I have. It works well albeit a little flimsy. I had not taken a closer look but this version only allows releasing/removing the missing link. Where as the Park Tools version allows you to securely expand and lock the link in place. Minor issue, since I use this primarily in a small service kit when I go riding longer distances. It does the job well. Nothing fancy. The park tool is about the same price, so if this is for home use and you are looking for a long lasting tool, then get the Park. If for casual use, this does just fine.

I had been using small needle nose pliers to take chains apart for years and that usually worked just fine. I recently began converting a few bikes from 3x to 1x and on the newer 11-speed chains the needle nose pliers weren't ideal. For the low cost of this tool it's a worthwhile addition to the tool set because it does its job nicely. It makes one handed Sram Power Link removal quick and easy. I wouldn't change a thing about it.

I don't really have much to say but it's so easy now to remove a Missing Link with this tool‼️No wiggling the chain back and forth to get the Missing Link to release. So I think it's worth every penny. The hardest part is get this tool out of the tool box and putting it back in. I guarantee you will spend more time getting the tool out and in your tool box than using it to take apart a Missing Link. Randy

Simple till that does what’s needed. Easy to use in link removal. However, it only removes the link so you’ll need the connector tool to put the link back together… which is also very easy to use.
