I used it on Cumberland Island hunting trip as a field cushion. It worked good, however I had to be extra careful because of sharp sticks and rocks. It kept my bottom away from damp ground with enough comfort for 1-2 hours of sitting.

My usual camping pillow is a rolled-up fleece or a shirt draped over a pile of other clothes--not exactly very comfortable. So I thought I'd give this pillow a try. It is super lightweight, and well constructed; I could probably sit on it and it wouldn't break a sweat. Easy to inflate (three or four breaths), valve is secure. Then I got to actually try it. I folded it in half and put it inside a T-shirt (softer surface, more breathability, about as thick as my normal pillow). That's when things got tricky. The fabric is fairly smooth, so things shift around, and it makes a fair bit of noise. Also had a hard time finding a comfortable surface on which to put my head/face. Eventually I gave up. Gotta try inflating it less, folding it in three and putting it inside something that will contain it well, so it can't move around much... that might help. But for the moment, this is not coming with me on trips.Read full review

2nd one of these. Short stools hurt my legs. Chairs are too heavy. Cardboard gets wet. Perfect size for sitting and if desired is a good pillow too.

The Cush comes in handy as a quick pad for hard or uneven surfaces as a seat or headrest. I most recently used it at a airshow to prop up my head as I laid on the sand but I would definitely have a true pillow for sleeping.

You need to put this inflatable pillow inside another bag (like a pillow-case*) to not sweat on it, as the direct contact with your skin might feel cool and pleasant at first but becomes hot and sweaty without a moisture barrier or thin cushion. Although the valve works flawlessly and the inflatable pillow doesn't lose air pressure over a night's use the pillow needs to be constrained so it won't squish out of shape (if its folded to make it thicker) perhaps some velcro or just a fabric container. (see above*) The KLYMIT Cush Inflatable Pillow is very well made, and a good deal especially if you camp and don't want to burdened with a bulky pillow. It takes up very little space and goes back into its tiny blue bag easily. I think it works better if you don't fill it with so much air that the chambers are rigid. When its softer at around half-full the sensation is like your head is floating its so perfectly suspended. A great deal!Read full review
