Gym Flooring & Equipment Mats

Gym Flooring Equipment

Gym flooring equipment is essential if you have a home gym or if you want to start investing in bigger gym equipment. Designs include wood grain, carbon fibre and multiple colours. Gym flooring is often available in different tiles that slot together in order to create a mat or a section of flooring that can then be placed underneath heavy equipment.

Rubber Flooring

Rubber flooring is quite possibly the most popular material in weight rooms. It is very durable and it is very easy to install. The long-lasting surface is ideal for heavyweight machines or exercise machines. Rubber helps to absorb some of the shock when heavy equipment is lifted and dropped, not to mention that it is also ideal for home gyms, commercial gyms and even for health and fitness centres. Rubber flooring is not prone to indentations and is waterproof as well. Rubber flooring can also offer a lot of grip.

Plastic Flooring

Plastic flooring is very versatile. It can be used to protect the floor from weights and even equipment. It is designed for workout areas and it is very soft and pliable. Another benefit is that it's non-absorbent and it is ideal for use on top of carpeting. Plastic flooring is not as durable as rubber and it is prone to indentations if you have very heavy equipment or if you have a heavy weight set.

Carpet Flooring

Carpet flooring is usually available as interlocking tiles. The tiles are padded and they are ideal for basements or in rooms that do not have any issues with moisture. They are warm and comfortable and they do not dent easily. Carpet flooring is very affordable and very easy to install. It is absorbent and it is great for those who want a flooring solution for their home gym or for their own weight room.
