Hi-Fi and Music at its best - Ladysmith Black Mambazo
I have been looking for some solo works from Ladysmith Black Mambazo after watching the DVD for the making of Paul Simon's Graceland. After reading a recommendation on an Hi-Fi magazine, from one of my favourite hi-fi writers, Ken Kessler, I decided this title would be my first venture as far as Ladysmith Black Mambazo solo works are concerned. The music is truly fantastic, presented in a way that is not very common. The vocals are exceptionally warm but at the same time very determined. In terms of audio, or hi-fi-wise, this recording is superb. The stage is huge and the way the vocals have been captured and subsquently presented is perfect. A true audiophile record but also a joy to a music lover. Not another hi-fi show with all sorts of noises and artificial sounds but with very ...
