Yes, about time I bought this since I was around at the time! Someone on here wrote that this was "acoustic" to one extent or another? Horse feathers! Stripped of outsiders' ideas of appropriate embellishments, bling and (mostly) studio aplied reverb, this is just great and really privileged onlooker live sounding. Factor in a total absence of click tracks and vocal pitch correction and there's little to disappoint. Purchased for a song (ironically) from an eBay trader, now I need to fill in a couple more gaps in my Beatles inventory. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice Album. I definitely want to find the Beatles get back original album mixed by Glynn Johns to compare. Which is what McCartney's aim was, i.e to get the album back to what Glynn Johns wanted for the album. Very acoustic and rough. But it's right in middle to be honest. It's still quite produced. But not as bad as Phil Spectre did. But not as naked as Glynn Johns version.(what I've heard of it. I know there are bootlegs of Glynn Johns master floating around, so I'm gonna try and get a copy. All in all though a very good album.

Not impressed with the mix produced by Mcartney or under his supervision. Apparently the Glyn johns mix is the best. not sure if its on the new set released by Giles martin.

A must for Beatles fans everywhere. To listen to how the songs were constructed and have that feeling of being part of the recording session.
