This older model is one I depend on because of the programmable mouse buttons, the fast easy battery change and long wearing heavy duty performance. Features no longer available that I depend on led me to buy this and very pleased with its performance. Not my favorite "design" (Victorian) but hey. It works, does what I need done and holds up very well.

I already have a Logitech M305 that I use at work and I always leave the receiver in place. Therefore, I thought it would be great to have one at home too - and since this item didn't come with a receiver that didn't matter because I already have one. However, when I inserted the battery the mouse didn't work - I'm not sure if it has to have a specific receiver or what - but the laser light doesn't come on at all. I even tried another battery on the off-chance that the first one was a dud, but it still didn't work.

I have had 3 previous wireless brand name mice in as many months. Each one had at least one issue. I thought it was me or my PC, but I'm perfect and my PC is fat and top of the line, and only 6 months old. Then I tried my wife's and it worked great from the get go. The scroll, arrow speed and all else. I did some very minor adjustments and I could not be more pleased. It was very easy to set up to my needs, great mouse. I do play a few games but I am not a "gamer" so I can not comment but for all other normal PC needs you will not be sorry. I may buy a second for a backup.

I had used a Logitech M305 Wireless Mouse with my Macs for a number of years. The only problem that I have ever had with this mouse is that it uses a lot of batteries. I foolishly purchased 2 newer models of the mouse with longer battery life, but none of them worked as well with my Macbook. I also bought an Apple wireless mouse, but the bluetooth kept disconnecting. I began using my old M305 again but dropped my computer and broke the nano receiver. Luckily, I found a new M305 with the nano receiver on ebay and purchased it. This mouse tracks easily and accurately and just acts as an extension of your hand. It is small, inexpensive, and easy to hold. The only problem, as I mentioned before, is that it does use a lot of batteries. I have decided that I am willing to buy more batteries for the accuracy and ease of use that the M305 provides.Read full review
The Logitech M305 is the ONLY Mouse for me. I've tried many. Deliberately tested others with all sorts of impressive features but none worked,.. "Moused" better than the Logitech M305. I just felt more comfortable "Mousing" around... smoothly... accurately... targeting! It just "Flowed" Better than All. It was the most comfortable in my hand. The buttons have the Best Feel and "Click" Feel. The Major Best Thing for me about the Logitech M305 is it's Durability. I'm disabled, and have my Chromebook on a 3 wheel cart/walker/Rollator, like a little rolling office, that has a small mouse pad jutting off the side. I just can't seem to remember to remove the Mouse before I start moving my cart. This Mouse has hit the deck at least a hundred times or more, No Kidding, No Exageration... and it's still working. Furthermore, my medication causes me to get sleepy... and when I eventually pass out then "jump" awake with my mouse still in hand... it goes Flying! This poor Logitech M305 has withstood abuse no mouse deserves. Often the cover will pop off and the battery will go flying as well. It's Still Working!!! Ha! It also has that Universal thing going on so you can use one do-dong-gadget to communicate with other so similarly designed wireless Logitech devices. Enough! It's the Best Mouse for Me! I HIGHLY Recommend it. Enjoy All! Be Kind!Read full review
