I watched the previous series and these were great. I was concerned that watching the series as an adult would destroy my memories of the programme as a child but I took the risk and was pleasantly surprised when it didnt. They offer something different to an adult as they do to a child, similar in principle as the Simpsons; and like the Simpsons the anti hero is the star of the show. However, that says more about the quality of acting that Jonathan Harris (Dr. Smith) brought to the show, similarly the acting skills of Billy Mumy (Will Robinson). Harrises camp as Christmas portrayal of Dr. Smith develops over every episode and probably would not look out of place in an episode of Will and Grace. The programme's consistancy is that it carries so many inconsistansies and can ramble on drawing conclusions to episodes similar to that of a young child playing a game of make believe. It is outrageously sexist to the point of aubsurdity but if this can be sidestepped it is hugely entertaining. The other main stroke of genius in the 3rd season is the signature tune - I have never heard one that is as good, you will know what I mean when you listen to it!Read full review
