This group have found a niche of their own. At first they sound like they're in the 70s but yet the sleaze is layered into the tracks in such a way that they can't be so easily labelled. Stand-out tracks: Louis XIV start with a track named Louis XIV right in their sleaze groove. Paper Doll develops this further. A Letter to Dominique takes you back some way... Pledge of Allegiance is cheeky and yes you guess it sleazy. All the Little Pieces is surprisingly classy....and Ball of Twine is just plain weird.
Soon as I heard this band I was hooked. I can play the full album from start to finish without skipping a track. Being honest I never heard about them until Four months ago and my mate played two tracks in his car(finding out truth love is blind-louis XIV) Top class tunes If you like bands like Kasabian then you will love them. If i worked for the NME then this band would be bigger than The Killers over here. Great album lads well done
