I bought this DVD after watching Eric on Top Gear, and sounded like a DVD every 'petrol-head' must see. It documents the love for his first car nicknamed 'The Beast'.. and his obsession to make it the best car he can.. With interviews with Jeremy Clarkson and Jay Leno, shows the friendship car nuts build up over the years, and some peoples obsession with their cars... Great to watch, some stunning footage of the Targa Tazmania Rally, and the emotional ending that does make you feel sorry for Eric!
The Hollywood star Eric Bana makes his debut as a documentary film-maker with Love the Beast, an innocuous if not entirely successful attempt to convince “non-car people” about the joys of loving a 1974 Ford Falcon XB coupe. An amiable guide, he enters his revamped Falcon in a Tasmanian road race, reveals his obsession with American “muscle cars” and discusses his love of automobiles with petrol-heads such as Jeremy Clarkson.
i could really relate to this dvd and just love eric bana. the movie is more of a documentry rather than a movie as such but very well done non the least. the interviews with jay leno and clarkson are just brilliant! the one thing that got to me is i would've love to have seen what happened to the car in the end. great music and that car! what a beast!! you cant go wrong if your a petrol head
Great film a must for petrol heads and everyone else as you cannot fail to empathise with Eric Bana and his obsession with piece of metal...
Most interesting documetary / film. A good watch for nostalgic car lovers. I will be watching it again .
