This is the CD63 MkII Ki Signature. The player is very good indeed, and has revitalised my hi-fi. It has replaced my old Arcam Alpha (original). There is still a lot to be said for music on CD, even with the advent of new digital servers. The purchase, however, wasn't trouble free. Basically, I failed to ask enough questions, and went straight for it because it was so much cheaper than other KIs on ebay. I don't regret the purchase; I simply had to spend money on getting the RCA sockets repaired, and there was a CD inside it. I wasn't told about this. But what can one do when one hasn't asked the seller? In summary, it's a great CD player; although it did need work, patience and money to get it back to being fully functioning. It may very well be my last CD player, as pretty soon everything will just be done via vast amounts of data transfer onto hard drives. But it is a classy way to cling on to those old CDs rattling around in drawers.Read full review
I have owned many cd players and been into semi-budget, but good hi-fi separates for over 30years. To me the CD63 in all its versions especially the Ki version is a very good cd player. It seems to play all cd's good and some very good without seeming like its straining or really trying too hard to do this. I have owned a Rotel 965bx, a Rega planet and many others but always seem to go back to the CD63ki because of the way i am never really ever disappointed with any cd i care to play. Just to add, for the people who look for total hi-fi heaven i haven't came across it yet, but the ki is excellent for the money.
