Yuck. I knew I didn't like Marilyn Manson! Recent clips of him playing live convinced me that I should buy some and make an effort to like it but I think I picked the wrong album. The best song by far on here (and the reason I bought it, apart from it being a bargain price) is 'Sweet Drems (Are Made Of This)', and that's a cover! Nothing else compares to it. It could have been a good album, the musical talent is there, but they seem to have got too sidetracked doing little spoken tracks that go on too long and add not much. If they'd spent the time working on their other songs it might have been time better-spent. If this album discourages drug use by showing what it can do to your mind (eg. think that inane ranting is arty or clever) it would serve some purpose. I doubt it though. If you aren't an angry 12-year-old give it a miss.Read full review
It is Manson's second album as Marilyn Manson (not Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids). This album holds a persistent Willy Wonka gothic edge and theme, which certainly has one's spine purring with delight over the cries of babies, and evil Wonka whispers. It is a brilliant album and introduction to the Marilyn Manson that is to come. Each and every Marilyn Manson album holds a different genre.
Ok cd not Marilyn Manson best but still very good. As i like marilyn manson dose not fuss me about the cd i like all is music anyways.
