Full of glitches, and poor AI puts you off from an early stage. But the intro sequence ( first time you start playing ) is quiet thrilling to some extent. Having the series of games ( 3rd to come soon word has it ) interlink is a neat feature though, with plenty of rewards for character importing ( from 1 to 2 ) and restarting the game with your leveled up character with the same character you completed the game with with a few bonuses to make a 2nd run through more appealing. However, only attempt the insanity level of difficulty if you have a few controllers to spare ! Not with its faults, some rather disastrous in fact. But its a worthwhile play for little money if your a fan ! ( But fans must expect a rather different feel to the play of the second one over the first -much more ( 3rd ) FPS, much less RPG if you catch my drift ).Read full review
An excellent continuation from the first Mass Effect, emphasising this time on building up your team. It gives you incentives to get to know your team in the form of unique powers and outfits and also impacts the events that begin to unfold towards the end. Combat is much improved but your team mates do tend to die quite frequently, playing though on insanity mode is a challenge. The only problem with the game is that it's a massive build up for the 3rd game, and as a result makes it a less dramatic climax than the 1st.
Having downloaded and played the demo, I loved this game from the second I started playing. There is just a mind blowing amount to explore and find. I also love the freedom the game allows you, with so many choices the game isn't one you'll want to play then get rid of. In a nutshell, if you imagine Fallout, New Vegas, only in space and with loads of awesome gadgets. That's pretty much how free roaming and good this game is. 10/10

My husband bought this as he has the first one and enjoyed it- this game must be even better because he plays it almost daily and I have to busy myself with crosswords while he monopolises our tv as a monitor! However even I find it a more interesting game to watch than most xbox games. It seems to have a lot of variety in the different tasks the main character does and lots of options for decision making that affect the way the game pans out.
