I bought one for installing Alarm & CCTV systems over 10 years ago, mostly used on drill mode, still as good as new performance, light & versatile

Great Marita 18v cordless 4function BTT140

Light enough to use for long periods. Heavy enough to take the abuse of impact mode, this drill does everything I need. The range of torque settings on the screwdriver mode are very large. I mostly use the impact mode to drive spax screws up to 360mm in length. Not many cordless tools will do this consistently well and have decent battery life (the Metabo BSZ 140 impuls being one of the few that springs to mind, but battery life and balance is not so good). A very compact drill too and a nice little led light for when you are in a dark corner; useful, if like me you have reached that age (mid 40's) where your eyesight isn't quite what it used to be! Be aware that this drill only takes 1/4" hex drive bits and does not have a conventional chuck. Also, not a tool to be left in the cupboard for months at a time as the batteries will, over time, self discharge. In other words, if you are a flash DIY tool user, make sure you top the batteries up every month or so. For trade use its not a problem.Read full review
