First Makita tool in years!
I have been a Bosch/Metabo man for decades but was not 100% happy with either of their multi tool offerings. I own a couple of older Makita tools (sheet metal nibbler and belt sander) which have served me well, and I was recommended the TM3000C. I took the plunge and am extremely satisfied with my choice. The cosmetic appearance (moulding quality) is definitely inferior to my older tools (which were made in Japan, not China, as this one), but functionally it still has that Makita feel of traditional, solid engineering. The tool has low vibration and the speed control allows operation to very slow oscillation of the tools. The selected speed is well maintained under load and the power is more than adequate for any cutter you can bolt on the buzzy end! Unusually these days, the tool is fitted with a very long and sturdy mains lead - a very welcome feature. Only time will tell regarding reliability, however the tool's feel and performance give me little reason to doubt that it will give many years' service. Highly recommended.Read full review

Quality, smooth operation, ergonomic.
I normally buy cheaper tools so this was a lot more than the usual. Instantly it was apparent that Makita was cutting extremely well. More importantly it does not make your hand numb. I carry two units on the van. I will buy Makita again when the cheapo unit fails.

Use this daily as tradesman. Better than the cheaper versions, runs quietly, not much hand vibration, easy to change blades, nice big heavy duty pins to slide blade into. Would recommend if in the trade and want something to last and perform well on the job
