Very happy with this. They are built to last and will support a DSLR with a big lens (attach monopod to the lens bracket not the camera). I did need to buy a Manfrotto MA 234RC Tripod head and you do need one of these. Some of these monopods being sold on eBay do already have them, this one did not. Trying to hand hold a camera with a big lens is hard work for any length of time. This sturdy monopod relieved the strain! Great when out in the field photographing cars, bikes or puffins!

Looking for a monopod I found the 680 to be popular for its ability and build. It's versatile user friendly and compact for what it is, and it pretty much does what it says on the tin. The 234 head is sufficient for small and medium sized cameras and again does the job I want it to. So all in all the whole product is sound and if you can pick up one at a good price its definitely worth having.
