Martine's musical spin-off album off the back of her award-winning, if often AWOL, performance as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. It's nicely packaged and her vocals aren't too bad at all, though I had to put my hi-fi on the jazz graphic equaliser to give them a boost. Obviously, Wouldn't it be Luvverly from My Fair Lady is one of the best ones here, as her voice is allowed to have character. Otherwise, she hits the right notes in slightly insipid fashion; often she just doesn't have the experience to conjur up the mood swing despair of tracks from Cabaret. Maybe Next Time sounds more like a 16-year-old schoolgirl sulking because she's flunked her driving test the second time round. Still, as background music this really isn't too bad.
it was a gift for my mum she likes musical songs. She doesnt particularly like Martine McCutcheon but she got a good voice.
