Massive Attack 2nd album with Mushroom + Tricky still on board. Much lighter than the next albums, still in soul influenced area which means some of these tracks are sun soaked layered and lush. All tracks are laid back with the remake of Horace Andy singing Spying Glass (originally recorded at Wackies reggae studio in USA in the early eighties, from the album "Dancehall Style") ,and also a live version of The Doors "Light my fire" being the most upbeat in terms of music. Two songs from Everything but the girl lead singer and two from Nicholette (solo album "Let no one live rent free in your head") ,and two instrumentals make this a very even album. Very good cosistent what is known as trip hop from the pioneers.
Amazing album, brings back so many great memories. As described, very happy.
