A very nice flash, providing a very neutral light (daylight color temperature). I really appreciate the ability to mount it on a pod. The rechargeable batteries are now outdated and should be changed on my used model (i use alkaline instead). Perfect companion for my mamiya 645 Pro. I use it as well with my Nikon D80 DSLR (had to buy an AS-15 adapter, the nikon body has no X-Sync port sadly). I mainly use the 'Auto' mode, either with the mamiya or the nikon. Obviously, the major drawback is the lack of discretion. The flash is a chunky piece of german designed electronics. Build to last, for sure.
An excellent and very powerful flashgun (with optional fill-in flash head), albeit quite a large one. Great value at today's used prices. The AA battery holder is ideal if the rechargeable pack no longer holds much charge.

After using shoe-mounted flashguns for years I'd forgotten just how reliable, powerful and easy to use 45s are. This kit filled the bill and I'll be doing my best to wear it out!

Duel flash and a guide no of 45 brilliant! Battery life great. It might look old school, but the results you get will blow you away. i've had one for 10yrs. Power to bounce and a great catch light fill no effort required.
