After going months playing with the problems associated with my old roller ball type mouse and thinking getting a new optical style mouse would not be worth the expense, was I wrong. Less than $10.00 delivered. Works great. No more pulling the computer out of the cabinet, unplugging the mouse, plugging it back in, to be told "the computer does not recognize this device" several times a day. Should have done this a long time ago.

It's an okay mouse. It was inexpensive, but it's nothing to write home about. Buttons are just a little but too hard to press and have a slightly dissatisfying sound. The cord is great - certainly not as flexible as MS mice of years gone by. They used to use some really great cable. The mouse is light enough and the cord is stiff enough that it kind of steers the mouse around a little. And there is something else about this mouse that I can't quite put my finger on (pun?), but it just seems a little awkward. Not sure why. The user of this mouse is 94. His first question when he saw it was, where's the light? His previous mouse was a MS laser mouse, and it had LED lighting on the top. This one has nothing - and he noticed the absence in a split second. So yeah, it's okay, but it doesn't take a young tech-head to notice that it is a very basic mouse. Perhaps too basic.Read full review

I needed to replace a wired mouse that made the cursor become erratic. My son said he spent a lot of money on a good gaming mouse but I did not need that degree of control. Found this one and trust that the Microsoft name means it is a good mouse. So far, it has worked well.

This is an entry level, cabled, USB, optical mouse that can be used equally well with either the left or right hand. This is a low mass (weight) mouse that lacks the solid feel of the premium priced, heavier weight mice. This does not detract in any way from its performance. The scroll wheel works smoothly and predictably. I use this mouse primarily for non-graphics, business applications with a desktop computer. While larger than some of the 'mobile' mouse products, I wouldn't hesitate to throw this mouse in my bag for use with my laptop. I would recommend this product to others looking for an economy priced, general purpose mouse.

It makes more noise when clicking than my old mouse did but much like all things now days, not as good a product as in the past. Good value for the money and it gets the job done! Far better than the broken mouse! That mouse lasted about 15 years so we will see?
