What I like: I like that it is physically small in size. It has very adjustable feet so you can place it easily on most any surface with no trouble aiming it. What I love: You can definitely tell a quality difference between DVD movies and Bluray on screen. Getting a projector that performs well in daytime light conditions, and I am happy to say that this one looks great in that environment! While the blacks are not great with light (obviously), the rest of the picture looks vibrant, clear, and rich. I'm very happy with what I bought. I doubt you could find a better value for $350. What I dislike: The projector has vertical keystone settings only. I could really use some side to side options, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. It does not have a DVI or HDMI port on the back. Only a max of 1080i. Why did I decide to buy it: It had a high contrast ratio, and a high lumen count. I also knew that the color looked great, and I prefer DLP over LCD projectors. I also bought it because I had previously seen it in action, and was impressed enough to look it up. I mainly use it to watch movies and set up presentations in remote locations outside of work.Read full review

There is not a reason to down play the mitsubishi XD430U DLP projector. This projector is everything good said about it. The picture is bright and the contrast is superb. This is the 5th projector I've owned and it has everything a person can hope for. So stop looking for the best projector going for home, or multimedia use, because you've found it in the Mitsubishi XD430U DLP. I did!
color quality is not as sharp as my other projector; same model. Seems to work ok.

This is a wonderful projector, in every way. Very bright, great contrast, long-life bulb, etc. Mitsubishi has a reputation for being the best in projectors, and the XD430U is evidence of why that is so.
