Having originally bought Danny Bakers own goals and gaffs on VHS many many years ago I had high hopes that this DVD would be in a similar vein. Unfortunately if McGrath does possess any comedic talent then he certainly doesn't show it in this dvd as he treats us to one cringe worthy sketch after another. I was under the impression that the vast majority of this dvd would be a series of funny footballing clips but at best you get about 30mins worth with the rest made up of McGrath predending to be a manager, striker, italian playmaker, and german goalkeeper. All of these characters that he portrays are painfully predictable and not funny in the slightest. Even the football clips themselves are a bit of a let down. My advice would be to stay well clear of this and find yourself the original Danny Baker own goals and gaffs which has much better clips and actually finds Baker in surprisingly good comedy form.Read full review
Firstly this is not for everyone, but if you're a football fan or like an easy watch with a few laughs then id reccommend buying it. I like this compared to the many others like it, because it covers football from allover the world! and there have been some hilarious incidents outside the premier league. This DVD features the classic gaffs and some new ones you might not have seen before The clips between the action, of Rory Mgrath acting are fairly wooden but its not meant to be a work of art! Its easy watching with a lot of crying laughs, some chuckles and some cringe moments I hope this was helpful
