I've always loved the Morgan Greer deck, I started out with a standard size version of it, over thirty years ago. Although the art style is very much of its time, it's aged gracefully, and the rich colours combined with it being borderless, really lends itself to the more compact size. That it comes in a nice, sturdy tin is also a really nice touch. It's perfect for throwing in your bag, so you always have a deck to hand.

Have used other small tarot cards (Thoth and Rider Waite) and these are my favourite by a long way. Because all the pictures are close ups, rather than other decks that are full size, a small Morgan Greer is pretty well equivalent to a full size Rider Waite. For Thoth you need the standard or better still large size cards. When these cards are face down you can tell which way up they are because of the copyright notice. Since they are small and protected from damage, I take them to the pub with me every time so have something to do while dinner is being cooked. If you know your way round Rider Waite, you won't have any trouble with these. You do get slightly different meanings to Rider Waite because of the pictures. For example the Queen of Swords is stronger than the Rider Waite equivalent as she looks like she is prepared to take on the challenge directly.Read full review

I bought these for me daughter who loves them. The designs are lovely and the tin very useful. There is no book but there are a couple of explanatory cards. The cards are tiny so if you have small hands and good eyesight you’ll be fine.
