I genuinely like this phone. I like the ease of operation and accessibility to social networking updates and emails. The apps are okay, but the phone is of good quality. The QWERTY keyboard is a little small for my sausage fingers (cause I'm a bigger guy) but most people probably wouldn't have a problem with it. The battery doesn't have much of a life to it when you have wifi, bluetooth and other things running at the same time. When you shut these off, it lasts longer. Use the battery saver settings and you should be okay. Good phone, well made, lives up to the Motorola name.
i really like this phone! i've had it for a few weeks now and really haven't had any trouble with it. i bought this phone because i had a blackberry and was tired of all the blackberry problems! this phone has android 1.6 which is now fairly old, but it is still lightning fast compaired to my blackberry at loading pages. the only problem i had with the motorola devour is that every once in a while i used to bump the mute button or end call button while i was talking to someone. it drove me crazy until i realized that the little motorola m on the left hand top corner of the face of the phone is a prox sensor which turns the screen back on when you move the phone away from your ear. as long as you keep the phone touching your ear the entire time you're on it, you won't have the problem i had. anyways, great phone! i would recommend this for anyone who has never had an android or wants to try a smartphone.Read full review
I researched and researched this phone before I got it and saw that there were many good reviews on it. It is less expensive than the Droid with all of the same features. I got this phone around November and was delighted when I first received it It was a lot of cool features such as Twitter and Facebook updates and streaming videos from Youtube along with many applications to choose from. Now, I'm on my second phone. The buttons are small and can be annoying to press. Like many Verizon phones, it continually shuts off at random times. You'll also notice a little delay when opening new menus or applications. And the battery is a pain to get out. it's built in to the side so you have to maneuver it a certain way to get it out. The browser is good though. It's fast when there's enough 3G to power it but sucks a lot of battery.Read full review
I love the physical appearance of the phone. I love the metal exterior and the keyboard. I love how I can keep up with facebook, twitter, multiple email accounts and more. I love how it retrieves contacts from facebook and email accounts. There are two things that prevent me from recommending this phone however, major things...every once and a while it will delete all your contacts. They return in about a day or so. usually they've gone one vacation every Sunday but are back by Sunday night or Monday afternoon. the other complaint is battery life/access. This phone eats your battery. I purchased a second battery so i wouldn't have to worry about it dying on me but to take out the battery is a hassle. Not that big of a deal but it is inconvenient. Because the Devour is the only phone i have found on any network that i like the look and feel of...i have decided to put up with the flaws.Read full review
The phone is easy enough to use but has a few design flaws. Have to keep it locked as not to take long videos of your pocket and use all the battery power. The outer screen also uses a lot of juice so it has to be powered down. Otherwise it is a nice phone. Keyboard is slick and easy to navigate.
