This is a fine motherboard, that was very well built. I previously had a Biostar motherboard, and many options in the BIOS were not programmed correctly, and didn't do anything. With this motherboard, the BIOS is 100% usable, it over clocked and unlocked my Athlon II X3 440 @ 3GHZ to a Phenom II X4 @ 3.6 GHZ stable. I am very impressed by ASUS's build quality, and will definetly buy ASUS again, but I am very disappointed with AMD. This motherboard has the AMD 710 south bridge which has hardware bugs that creates incompatibilities with Linux and some other kernels. I was able to easily run Windows 7, Windows XP, and Solaris 10 and 11, but no Linux distribution can easily run when installed on a SATA hard drive on this motherboard. Almost all distributions work when they are on CDs, USB drives, Virtual Machines, or IDE drives. I am thinking of buying a SATA raid card to bypass the motherboards SATA controller. Once again, the SATA controller has major issues that creates incompatibilities with Linux and some other kernels.Read full review

I've built a lot of computers for myself, friends and family. and never had a problem with an asus motherboard, but this mother board is a cut above, it will do whatever you have in mind for it to do.
