This is an older motherboard. it is still a great board for those on a budget. it is only socket AM3 but is still a great board any AM3 CPU from single core Sempron to the massive Hex Core Phenom II cpu Has ram ok plenty of Sata and even legacy IDE lots of USB 8phase power for massive over clocking and great heat sinks. many PMW fan connections. and you can put much hardware to this thing multiple graphics cards etc... only USB and SATA II but this board is 2 generations old for an older upgrade or just giving an older AM3 a boost this is a great board these things cost ~$300 new. so you deside.
Excellent motherboard, a bit behind on the fancy gamer stuff. I dropped an AMD 6 core processor into my Formula III, it jumped up to 6.0 in the Win 7 score. The only spot that didn't jump was the hard drive thru put of 5.2. I have Kingston memory of 8 gig (2x2x2) running at 1333. An excellet and solid board. All my ASUS mobo's have been great!!!!! I am looking forward to upgrading to Formula IV.

Hooked this board up with a AMD 965 and i am getting a 3.7 in windows index, Drivers dont work under windows 7 ultimate and very disappointed with the board. Drivers from ASUS for windows7 arnt complete and are missing much information. Very very very disappointed!
