Ok, this is a very good Engraver/Cutter, and I'm very happy with it. But if you think it's going to work straight from the box then you'll be pretty fed up. Hopefully the makers will address the problems, and things will be better. Ok, so what's the problems. 1) The screws had fallen off the 'Y' access End Stop Switch (they are M4 BTW and about 5mm long. It wouldn't be a big problem, but to replace them (I fitted 10mm new replacements with Nyloc Nuts) requires the machine to be stripped down to get at them. 2) because of the stripdown, the mirrors all needed re-aligning, and were given a good clean just because they were grubby. 3) The CD software works, but there's no manual. If you look around on the Web there's plenty of info. The Seller, does his best to assist BTW. I'm happy with them and the product....It works perfectly once repaired. Don't forget that the machine has traveled half way around the world to get here. So minor problems were expected. So the screws were nothing unexpected, just difficult to get at. If you have used a 3D printer, then the repairs are familiar to you. Running the machine is a whole lot easier than a 3D printer. Ok, so marks out of Ten..... Build Quality.... 9/10 Design..... 8/10 (Only loosing the 2 because of the poor design of the 'Y' access End Stop) Ease of use.....9/10 (It really is easy, but needs a Good Manual). Packaging......10/10 (A cardboard box, inside a cardboard box, and enough Foam to insulate a shed roof...). I'm Very Happy with the product.. And well worth the price... Have a good day......Read full review

It's heavy enough but, due to a couple of design flaws, the main column bends back when the press is closed, which leads to horizontal sliding and uneven pressure (pressure at the back is about 2x as high as pressure at the front). Some screws were loose, a couple of screw holes have stripped threads (can't be tightened at all), the top platen's teflon cover has a few cracks, and there were strings of hot glue in several places. Also, although the top platen does swing all the way around, if you swing it more than half way, the whole press falls backwards, because there is no support at the back, and the platen is much heavier than the base. It might be possible to clamp the base to a table to avoid that. The press comes with a cheap Phillips screwdriver that isn't actually required, since the platen came pre-attached (and is so blunt it can't unscrew the platen anyway), but lacks the hex key required to attach the crank at the top of the column. It did come with the correct (Schuko) plug. The seller claims a temperature range of 0-250 ºC, but the real range is 93-232 ºC. Also, the press defaults to showing temperature in Fahrenheit, and there are no instructions about how to change it (I was eventually able to find that information from a completely different company which apparently uses the same temperature controller). Temperature is somewhat uneven (about 20 ºC higher near the middle of the platen, compared to the edges), and the display is off by about 10 ºC (i.e., when the display says "150", the middle of the platen is at about 140 ºC and the edges are at 120 ºC). There might be calibration options in the service menu, but the seller doesn't understand English, and just sends incomprehensible replies. The "manual" included with the press is a mess, mixing Celsius and Fahrenheit temperatures on the same page, claiming the press is 1250 watts (in fact it's 700 watts), and lacking any information about the configuration menu. TL;DR: It works, but has several durability and ergonomy issues, and customer support is non-existent. I decided to pay a bit more and get it from a EU seller but it looks like the actual seller is in China, and "communicates" through an automatic translator.Read full review
