Yeah I know we should not be connecting XP to networks any more (NHS WannaCry) but I needed to. This card being PCI fitted in the old hardware nicely and the driver CD worked fine. I could have achieved the same thing with a much cheaper USB WiFi but I tried that. USB 1.0 on that PC was just so slow for the hard drive backups I wanted to do I realized that PCI would be much faster. If you have USB 2 then that would be fine. The best card for a system would probably be a PCIe, the little slot. It maybe smaller than PCI but it's many times faster. If your motherboard has a spare one then get that card in preference to old PCI.
