I am just getting into macro photography and this is a great help. Now fine tuning my focus has become a joy with this great piece off kit. If you are interested in macro photography this is the item I now go to at the start off setting up. The sharpness I now get is outstanding making it a pleasure to take photographs. WOW THIS ITEM IS A MUST.

Watch out for cheap unbranded copies. I ordered a Neewer branded item and recieved an unbranded low quality copy. I can't comment on the Neewer item but the copy was useless.

Very sSmooth actions in both traverse directions, and better than I had anticipated, but yet to use it intensively and so can't vouch for the long term reliability. Relatively minor issue is that the knob to secure the camera to the unit is quite shallow, and so is difficult for someone with large fingers to grasp it - especially when attaching a largish camera like a DLSR

Not the most sturdy piece of kit but good value for money. An inexpensive entry level focus rail that lets you try out focus stacking without investing large sums of money.

It does the job for the price, you might want to use a remote shutter control with it, as it has quite a lot of movement when pressing the shutter button, leading to shaky photos. If you enjoy macro photography, you might want to change to a more expensive version later on.
