I bought one of these and the six-foot version as a phone charger fir my car, and for charging my tablet while using it, respectively. I used the latter first and was a little surprised that charging seemed slower than I was used to. The battery charge actually drops a little when I use some power-hungry apps, like some games, while plugged in. I thought it was the length of the cable (six feet, as mentioned) but the one-foot version doesn't seem to charge too quickly either. They still perform the jobs I bought them for - right-angled usb plugs and appropriately-sized cables, keeping things neat, convenient and less awkward - and I still use them. It's just that they might be better suited long charges (e.g. overnight) and small boosts to a decently-charged battery, rather than quickly reviving a dying one. I can't speak of their data transfer capabilities - that wasn't what I bought them for, and I haven't tried them in that capacity.Read full review

Connecting my smart phone to my new car was a pain as the tray wasn't long enough to let my lay my phone down flat with a normal USB cable attached. This angled Micro cable solved the problem and has proved to be a very good solution to my problem.
