Having purchased a Toshiba Ultra 4K Television, I needed to upgrade my original Chromecast to utilise the 4K. I purchased the Chromecast Ultra 4K 2016 version, the setting up was straight forward (plug in HDMI, and power supply and follow the onscreen instructions) within a few minutes it was installed. I used 'You-tube' to try the 4K and it was amazing. The picture was so clear and the sound mind blowing! It coped excellently with streaming movies as well as iplayer, netflix etc. Highly recommended by me.

This product is a USA Product, what does that mean to you, well it arrives with a US Plug Top and an Adaptor, not a problem if you unless you are trying to place it to the rear of your TV, then it is a nightmare. Second hitch is that it comes with no instructions, just a google card to go to a web site Lastly it is bundled into a plastic bag when delivered, they could not even be bothered to find/buy a brown box to ship it in. We have the Ultra and a relative has the standard version, and whilst we think they are both a good piece of equipment, we doubt whether the Ultra is worth the extra cost. Claims of higher resolution are hard to quantify, as much will depend on TV definition - and viewer expectations.
