Terms and Conditions of Sale – Atypical Work Space (eBay UK)
Atypical Work Space is a small, unfunded charity that provides supportive employment for autistic adults. Every sale helps us continue our work, so we kindly ask buyers to read and understand the following terms before making a purchase.
1. Returns and Refunds – Change of Mind
If you change your mind and wish to return an item, return postage will not be refunded. As a small charity with no external funding, returns where the buyer has simply changed their mind have a real financial impact on our work.
2. Auction Items & Goods Sold as Seen
All auction items are available for inspection before sale. Items sold as “seen,” “untested,” or “for parts or not working” cannot be returned under any circumstances, unless we have sent the wrong item.
3. Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged:
Contact us immediately upon delivery.
Take clear photos of the packaging and the damaged item.
Do not delay—damage claims must be made promptly to allow us to take action with the courier.
If the item is confirmed to be damaged in transit, a full refund, including return postage, will be issued.
4. Wrong Item Sent
If we send you the wrong item, we will arrange for its return and issue a full refund including return postage once we receive it.
5. Timeframe for Returns or Issues
Buyers must contact us within 14 days of receiving the item to report any issues or request a return. After this time, we may not be able to offer a refund or replacement.
6. Conditions for Accepting Returns
Refunds will not be issued for returned items if:
The item has been damaged by the buyer
It has been opened and shows signs of use (if sold as new or unused)
Parts are missing
A different item is returned in place of the original
7. Return Method & Responsibility
Buyers must ensure items are returned securely packaged and with tracking. We cannot process refunds for returns lost in transit without proof of return.
8. Hygiene and Excluded Items
Due to hygiene reasons, certain items such as personal care products or undergarments cannot be returned unless they arrive faulty.
9. Payment and Dispatch
Payment is expected within 3 days of purchase.
Items are typically dispatched within 1–2 working days of receiving cleared payment.
10. International Buyers (if applicable)
Buyers outside the UK are responsible for any customs charges or import duties incurred.
