This is a fantastic camera. I wouldn't call it rugged, and most everyone knows that the film advance lever is a potential weak point in its design. However, this little guy is fantastic in use, great in ergonomics, and full of safeguards. The lenses are NEEDLE SHARP and image quality is top notch. I suppose bokeh snobs may find "creamier" bokeh in lenses in other systems that are older and/or don't focus down to the film plane. Of course, that begets part of the sharpness tradeoff. I'm totally thrilled with my 6, and got the matching lens assortment. I must say, I use the 150mm rarely -I find it's tough to compose and focus with the small rangefinder target, though I still practice. This isn't a no-crop headshot portrait machine, nor is it designed for close up work or work where 100% precise composition is required (hello, it's a rangefinder). For me, the trade off with system weight and portability, image quality, and whisper quiet shutter (only the softest "tick" can be heard - it's a delight) makes up for these application shortcomings. Overall, the Mamiya6 is a delight to hold, use and use again. Buy one and don't look back.Read full review

This is one of the very best 120 folding cameras. Pretty sharp optics, even by modern standards, and moderately flare resistant. At least as important as the camera 's original qualities is the vendor: 6_x_6_by_sakurado he provides quality cameras perfectly described.

I have had many of these over the years, and they are always my favorite camera. If you find one that needs repairing there's a place near Chicago that can totally overhaul these cameras. It will cost you $400 to do so, but you will have a solid and adjusted body that will last year's. As long as there's film!

I'm impressed with the features and and quality of the images the lenses produce, especially the 50mm lens. The unfortunate part is the limited number of lenses available to this body. It is also bigger and heavier than I expected. Overall - a lovely medium format camera to be carried around.
Smooth operation, good image quality, & very easy to use.
