I am a tradesman and I know how to sharpen drills so I thought I would see how well this does as I am getting a bit long in the tooth using a bench grinder. Setting up this little machine is common sense once you get the sliding bits worked out, but I think the instructions could be more explanation and less pictures. I don't know what I expected in using this but once you get the hang of the clamping fitting into which the drill to be sharpened fits, it gives you an idea of how it works, however the starting position of the flat edge of the drill should be better explained and the right left motion of the fitting to complete the grinding direction of the face is good after you get the start correct. Not suitable for smaller than 5 mm drills in my opinion and I tried to grind a new face on a chipped drill bit but I stopped as the stone was becoming worn . All in all for a daily use drill sharpener its not bad and as I have not compared it to any others in the range, its hard to tell so I will use a bench grinder for the bigger drills and for 5 mm to 10 mm this will do fine. A link to spare sharpening stones would be good.Read full review

I have tried to sharpen a 6mm drill bit , which in the end was unsuccsessful and I used a new one in the end.. Sarpen a chissel with this mashine is also a bit of the task.. I dare to try a knife or sissors. In my opinion, this product is just a bad disign und not a good value for money. So if you purchas this product to sharpen drill bits, Just don't ! It is just useless.

Hi, Only the first day I have this tool so I used the knife sharpener and have mixed feelings about it.The first attempts were not very successful because I had trouble finding the right angle for the blade. Once found, the guide was not very stable which resulted in an uneven angle along the entire length of the blade. Nevertheless, after a dozen or so attempts and a little training, I managed to sharpen the knife. This is a good base because to achieve the highest quality of sharpening, I recommend using a whetstone as the final tool for sharpening. Overall, good for home use. My rating is 3.9 / 5 maybe even 4.2 / 5 if the rest of the modules are just as good as the knife sharpener. Regards bookyzz

Tried This out for my Chisels but found the Cutting wheel to be very Coarse leaving Grooves on the sharp edge and the sliding guide had a small amount of sideways play about 1mm so edge of Chisel was not straight, good for removing chips on Chisel Edge and then finishing on a wet stone, Seems to Work Better for Drill bits as they are Ground on the Face of the Wheel not the outer Edge, Still good value for the money if it Sharpens Drill Bits

My friend bought a knife sharpener for 10.99 and it sharpened the knife like a raser. I thought I'll get one, more powerful and forked out 10.00 more. It was the worst mistake I made it take 20 minutes to get bit of sharpness on the knife and does not sharp well. The scissor didn't sharp either and didn't try the chisels as its not even worth wasting time.I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone!
