My wife needed a new computer, so we decided on the Dell Latitude D630. It didn't take her long to realize that she HATED Windows 7. A souped up version of Vista, the biggest mistake Microsoft ever made. She also hates that there are so many keys down the right side that should be across the top. That puts the keyboard away over to the left, and the keys are smaller. She hates that there is no status bar, and the Control Panel is a nightmare. The D630 will NOT let her open disks that she needs that were burned to disks. The Clear Fi worked in the beginning, but quit, so she can't watch Netflix movies on it. She can't burn the pictures to a disk. Every time it updates it ruins some of the software that she's downloaded and needs. She hates Windows live mail, and the Microsoft anti-virus. All in all, it's safe to say that she hates this computer, and has gone back to the old one with Windows XP and a better keyboard, that doesn't mess up her software.....because it's NOT compatible with anything. I bought this computer from someone, I'm sure it was OK from first manufactured, but it was older and didn't really work that well. It's Ok for an older model, but it isn't very useful as some of the more modern machines. For 100 dollars its Ok., but like I said not real useful nowadays. Thanks.

I have bought about 40 of these computers. I am currently buying them for an orphanage/school in Cameroon Africa. They are working very well with high usage (165 students) I used them myself for years, until I needed an hdmi input. The only fault I could ever attribute to them is that they do not offer a backlite keyboard, but this is not offered on many. They have many upgrade possibilities. Buy one of these with windows 7, just 4gig of ram(can upgrade to eight) with a 8300 to 9500 intel core processor and a solid state drive (SSD) and you will blow away most of the computers you can buy off the shelf under $600.00. Even without the SSD, which will cost about another $50 used, these are fast. A real bargain when you can buy them for $100, more or less. I recommend that you buy minimum of 2gig ram, Win 7 really needs it to operate well. Folks who knock these computers don't know what they are talking about--just read the history of what the experts say(which I am not).Read full review

I Totally I'm unsatisfied with the product it I like it because of all the cool features edited on it but when I got it at all kind of viruses 500 every 3 or 4 minutes of use ask it popping up clean your PC isyour PCs at risk. I attempted to buy a program online to help clean my PC Did I talk to a representative from the company telling me that my it would cost $300 to have my computer fixed. totally unsatisfied disappointed.
