I have been a photographer for many years and I have got very fed up with taking 5000 snapshots when I could take one real photograph that I am proud of and want to keep.
As a professional photographer that has used Nikons for over 35 years - this model is simply the best value around! Very easy to use and as per usual fantastic Nikon build. Very light with built in motor drive.... AF lenses slightly fussy in focusing but with a little patience work very well. I am lover of the "old" fashioned film 35mm over digital at this price around £100 with AF 35-70mm zoom lens unrivaled value!!! Cost around £500 from 1984-1996....
Quite simply, one of the best ever cameras made by any camera manufacturer. Ease of use seems to have been a strong part in the design of this camera. I have always found this model gives very good results without any problems. The next model up from the F801, which is the F801s, will give you spot metering. So, both of these cameras are highly recommended from my point of view.
I received this item today and havent test it yet! I mean, just the shutter speeds and programs but not AF and film till now. The camera its like all old Nikon, strong and heavy !!! Thats a real Nikon! Very good handle! Recommended camera for any serious photographer!
