My contract price plan doesn't allow for what I'd consider decent phones so had a look around for a second-hand smartphone. Nokia has always been my phone of choice but briefly strayed into Samsung Galaxy Ace territory and after having to manually enter all my contacts list was unimpressed - so back to Nokia. Found this bad boy at a reasonable price, not as light as a Samsung but just heavy enough to know it's there. You need to download Zune software for apps, to add music/video files and get updates so PC Suite is defunct. Luckily I had a Nokia N97 which I could Bluetooth my contacts from. There's another thing - you can't Bluetooth files to another phone, only your contacts list. The instruction booklet woefully scant on information and online instructions too much to print so it's a voyage of discovery. Here's where Nokia excel, if you get on their website you can make an appointment for one of their people to phone you and walk you through anything you don't understand up to (I think) 5 topics and you can book more appointments if you're still stuck. About the only thing I don't like is that you can't preview ringtones so you don't know what you've got until someone phones you. Also, as far as I can tell you can't download your ringtone of choice. Very impressed with memory capacity. I've got stacks of photos, videos and music on my phone but barely a third of memory has been taken up. The 8mp camera is a stunner, especially since you hold the phone like a camera rather than tapping the screen to capture an image as you do with Samsung. Would I recommend it? Ohhh yesss!Read full review
I just love this phone, upgraded from a Blackberry which now seems prehistoric by comparison, Windows seemed to be the obvious choice for seamless integration with all my business systems, exchange, outlook lync, Skype etc and I haven't been disappointed. loads of apps and haven't paid a penny for any of them yet. Beautiful intuitive interface and everything just works well and, it looks really cool and fits easily into pockets etc. Its a brillant Sat Nav, camera, Web browser, photo viewer,Kindle, radio, mini computer, organiser, torch, etc etc so its great value for money. Battery life seems reasonable and comparable with friends that use I phones, HTC's etc guess it depends on usage, I generally get a full day and charge overnight. Only thing it doesn't do at the moment is tethering and i understand that this capability is being rolled out very soon.Read full review
I used all iphone's including the 4S, I used the best Android phone but I could tell you all that this is the best phone you can have. Spot on size, Best design, Absolutely loving it, Recommended to all
Great phone to use. I had wanted one for a long time and it didn't disappoint. Apps and some features not as good as say an iphone but they are certainly not bad. Worth considering as a smart phone.
A Lumia 800 joins a household of iPhones. First reaction having had a play is it's really very good. Definitely a contender and holds it's head up against an iPhone 4s. Design is good, feels solid. Cover is excellent and is barely noticeable and offers a good level of protection. I expect this to look better for longer than my iPhone 4s.
