I prefer Nokia phones; I'm used to them ... however I like to be a little bit different... ! I don't need high-tech; just a reliable & easy to use handset that reflects my peronality. I probably won't make use of most of the functions, but as a retired, disabled & antique-mad widow, this is perfect!
I'm very happy with this phone. I used to have a smartphone, but I just got tired of all the things you don't use, and especially that very annoying touch!! Argghh! I've been looking for this for a long time, and this is just perfect. Tried to find a place where I could by the phone new, but that's apparently very hard. I bought this phone used, but you can't tell that it isn't a new phone. The phone is working perfectly and I love the girly design!!!
I bought this expecting my 15 yr old boy to come round to my way of thinking as this phone satisfied all his pre-defined needs: Good for texting (eg buttons positive and well spaced), a good camera (3 megapixels with autofocus and a flash) and a decent MP3 player. Moreover, I thought it would be good to get all the kids and my dear wife using Nokias like me so we all learned transferable knowledge, we could minimise the number of chargers and only one piece of hardware/software was needed on the PC. It didn't work as he couldn't get past the looks of the phone (too girly for him I think). He has now become happ with a Nokia flip phone (not sure of the model). The wife was delighted with the nokia 7390 phone which also has a good fm radio, so I bought another one for her. I like the styling of the phone as the circular patterns look a lot like the old celtic patterns in Ireland (where I happen to be). It is solid with the flip design protecting the buttons, it has a good feel, is stylish, the buttons lock against accidental use, it has decent battery life, a good camera, a good MP3 with 2 Gig memory and I like the nokia software which synchronises well with microsoft XP and apps. Other than being a little bulky, its a great phone. Update: After years of using the 7390, I have changed a few parts including the screen at about £7 each, new. Breaking open the casing on the phone is easy enough with a tough thumbnail or a tool which may come with the screen, as does a torx tool to remover the screws to the screen. Be careful when opening the casings as a little metal bracket can drop out and I have not worked out where it came from, but the phone will work without it but sometimes the phone will not detect that the flip has been opened so I suspect it plays a role in the opening mechanism. The signal has always been good, the phone continues to feel a little bulky nowadays making it easier to find though! A camera zoom would have been useful on the odd occasion but all up, its a good all rounder and I have no plans for using anything else.Read full review
I bought this phone from ebay and I absolutely love it, its very stylish and very easy to use. I love the mini screen, u can do so much without opening the phone which makes it even more interesting. U can switch on the music player, use the camera and switch on the radio. Its also possible to lock the phone while the flip is closed, which comes in handy when it is in your bag.The music player is great, the camera is 3 meg, its got bluetooth and infra-red. its basically got everything. it also possible to make video calls, depending on your provider. i had the nokia 7373 first and that was great too, but this is like a complete upgrade. so overall i am a very happy customer!
This phone is a very good phone indeed. Excellent battery life, fantastic camera, good storage facilities (micro SD card slot), screens are brilliant with good control over phone functions from smaller front screen when flipphone is closed. Keypad is good, slightly raised in centre as well as raised area on middle key, and 3G/video calling camera is also good quality. Light colour stays remarkably clean, too, and pearlescent effect on paint shows the quality of the handset, with the addition of the leather area on back cover a nice touch. Detailing to metal screen surrounds, inside and out, also shows Nokia's quality and style. All around a very good and lovely, feminine handset.
