This small kettle is the perfect size and weight for backpacking. It has ample room inside to hold my alcohol stove. It is made of hard anodized aluminum and the quality is top rate. More expensive titanium cookware might be a few grams lighter, but titanium does not transfer heat as well as aluminum. The handle is a little stiff, which is good as it will stay up when heating, and it does not get hot on the hands. I hope it does not loosen with time. Overall, I am very happy with it, and I think it will last me for many years.

My favourite hiking kettle. I have a few stainless steel and hard anodised kettles and this is my favourite. The handle locks into position which helps not get burnt. It's extremely light weight and the wide base makes it compatible with most stoves. I use Astonish to clean it and it restores it to almost like new condition.

Boils 500ml of water in about 3 mins with my MDNK stove--my pot with a "thermal ring" (think JetBoil) does it about 15 seconds faster...but it is heavier and twice as big.
