As an older member of the community I find that it is an easy and simple phone to use. It is a straight forward flip phone with a good camera. For my personal needs that is all I need, but the phone has all the features of the latest phones on the market, apart from touch screen facility. To sum up, I am very pleased with everything about this product, inexpensive, functional, compact and good looking.

This phone seems to be a copy. The navigation buttons are plain and they should be coloured. This was not apparent in the picture on eBay. The battery life is abysmal, a brand new battery lasted only 20 hours on standby.

I bought this phone for my dother. She lose two phones before one by one. When I ask her what phone she wont next, after a while scrutiny surfing Internet she said - Nokia 6131. This is a point - new generation in my Family choose Nokia 6131. Take in a look how often my dother drop phones, I decide to bay two phones, keeping in mind combine shipping policy too. But when I took this phone on my hand, I realize what a miracle I got. Good qualities: Clamshell design combining with one hand solution. Wide functionality, excellent reception and quality, quad band and good price. I am very pleased with the calendar, alarm clock, blue tooth and infrared devices. Especially I was amazed with FM with easy tuning and hihg quality. And now what I dislike. As you now, old men like me have weake eye. It'll be very nice to extend customisation inner and outer display to got more enlarged fonts, though for time and date. So I rate it a 4.Read full review
The phone itself is well made and very compact. It makes and receives calls like it's supposed to. I'm quite satisfied apart from, The info screens are difficult to read with the wallpapers supplied. A plain one would be handy. Plus it doesn't remind you that you've got an unread text. That's a bit of a nuisance!
I had a Nokia 6500 Classic and hated it. My wife has had a Nokia 6131 for years and, despite its scratches, absolutely loves the phone and wouldn't part with it unless it broke and was totally unrepairable. Previous to the Nokia 6500 I had a cheap Sagem flip-up phone and really liked that too but the 6131 has so much more functionality and its very easy to use. The phone is very compact and the keypad also seems better for texting. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and have no complaints or regrets whatsoever. If you're in the hunt for flip-up phone I don't think you'll go far wrong with the Nokia 6131.
