I haven't played with it not even 15 mins but it seems fun to play with. I think it might take a while to get the hang of it, making use of the thread and getting the spin just right to make it go for a while. As for the buying process, it was dealt with very quickly and efficiently - thank you.

I experienced these toy gyros as a child and they are great fun and educational. Unfortunately this item was of very poor quality with rough surfaces making it look old and well used despite being sold as new. The quality was so poor I returned it without even using it as the gift was intended for my grandson and he would have thought that it was secondhand. I would certainly recommend this as an educational and fun toy for children but just make sure the quality is good.

I bought this for use in the class. Not particularly child-friendly so I had to do the winding etc. If it was dropped the outer metal circle would come apart and bend so I had to keep straightening it otherwise it would be unusable. Worked otherwise, but as a 'child's toy', I would suggest adult supervision; it is a precision instrument afterall.

What should be a fairly precisely engineered product for it to perform turned out to be such poor quality I began to think it might be a cheap copy of the original. After complaining to the supply company about it being tarnished they immediately sent me another only to find I now have two gyroscopes that are a waste of money.

Got for my son for his birthday and he was very disappointed, although it will spin on stand no one could get it to spin on finger like it says in the instruction. Pay a bit more for a better one!
