I love the color LEDs for the temperature. I do wish the inside was something I could clean in the dishwasher, however I suppose it's not a big deal since I'm only boiling water in it anyways -- how dirty can it really get. It's basically self-cleaning then right? I use it to heat up water for oatmeal. But I still think heating a bowl of water for 1 minute in the microwave is faster, this works out better if I'm making more than 1 bowl for my wife or kids too. Plus it FEELS healthier than nuking something too.

.I've gone through three of these in a year and a half. One was a warranty return, but they don't offer that anymore. If I didn't have a limited income I would spend the money on a product that lasts and has a warranty so that's what I recommend to you. If you have the money spend it quality or you will be frustrated by how shortly these last. If you don't have the money but are a tea connoisseur like me buy this and just don't expect much. One thing that's nice is this model doesn't beep incessantly and has a keep warm feature but even the new ones no longer have the 6 month warranty. You'll need it too. Remember when something like a Mr. Coffee would last 5 years? Sigh.....those days are gone. Get used to it.

I received the kettle about a month ago and it's worked great. I've only used it a few times and only to boil water, so I can't really comment on the other temperature settings. The kettle boils water quicker that my 950 watt microwave oven: Maximum water: 1.7 liters (about 7 cups) in approx. 10 minutes; microwave took over 15 minutes, and the water wasn't boiling yet. Minimum water: 0.5 liters (about 2 cups) in about 3:30 minutes, also faster that my microwave oven. Colored LED light in the water level window is nice. It helps me know what temperature is selected, and I know the kettle is not done while the LED is lit. Once the water is at the selected temperature, the LED light goes out and the kettle beeps to notify you. I'm disappointed that the sediment filter attached to the inside of the spout is extremely tight, and I feel it'll break if I try to get it off. So, I've been unable to take it off to wash it. But, it's not a deal breaker, since I use bottled water and it rarely leaves mineral deposits. I don't know how durable it is yet, but since I haven't had any problems, so far, I hope it'll last me a few years.Read full review

This is a very good tea kettle. It heats up the water quickly. I like the option of different temperature setting. Different color lighting helps with distinguishing one's preferred temp. It's not noisy. The only thing that I would caution about it is that it's exterior becomes very hot so one has to be careful to not touch it. Other than that, it's very functional.

The button for opening the lid broke within two weeks --- it stayed down (it would not return to the original "up" position) but the lid would not open. The mechanism was poorly designed, or the plastic was cheap and easy to break. Not recommended to anyone.
