Bought this because i used to enjoy the old movies. But this one is a total disappointment. Not one looks like a pirate, the acting is stiff. You have to look hard for any blood, as you do for action. Or destruction. All the crews seem to be happy. This film does not come close to Master and Commander or Pirates of the Caribbean. Both of witch are mentioned on back of dvd cover.
A reworking of the vintage adventure tale from 1961, this animated version of THE PIRATES OF TORTUGA follows three boys, Alex, Max, and Califax on a trip through time when they find an ancient, magical bowl. Landing on a pirate ship in the 18th century, the boys meet the beautiful pirate queen Anne Bonnie, and take it upon themselves to protect her and her kingdom from the rogue Pirate of the Caribbean, Blackbeard.
Loved this swashbucking film it had good eye candy which is always a bonus. And even though it is a old version as oposed to now it is still worth its weight in gold. I really got it for my little girl to watch, but she didint want to. So I did instead and I highly recommend this one.
