Tank must be clear of previous sealant, as much rust as possible and any solvents, Por-15 is then easy to use ( follow the instructions ), results are excellent, sets hard and a nice grey colour, so good Ive ordered another tin for my other classic bike.

Unclear about the age of the stock I was supplied with however product contained many lumps of hard material that were impossible to mix into the paint no matter how hard we tried. Virtually 1/3 of the tin was therefore unusable so its not clear whether the paint that was actually applied to the inside of the tank will be effective when fuel is added. Photos I took of the lumpy paint were sent to the supplier who advised that I should have persevered in trying to mix the lumps into the paint. So I'm afraid I cannot recommend the product and I have concerns about the quality and as a result the value for money. It would assist if prominent warnings/instructions were displayed if this is other than an isolated incident to better inform users in dealing with the lumps/hardened material in the paint.Read full review

Probably the only one worth using. Don't try saving it though - it's a false economy. I had some old stuff I'd used on a bonneville tank a few years back that hadn't gone off and worked OK, but left a very thick lining in one tank and wouldn't drain properly. Wound up levering the skin out with a stick ! Bought this tin for the other tank, and it worked brilliantly - far more free flowing and did exactly what it says on the tin
