This auction is for 1 Space Marine Ultramarine veteran painted to a high collectors/competition standard. 

He is a metal model (not the Finecast resin the GW are currently producing) and has been painted with acrylic paints and varnished for use on the gaming table.

As you can see from the photos, he has been based on a standard 25mm round gaming base which has then been inset in a 40mm square on a display plinth. This makes the model perfect for either display or as a real centrepiece for your army. There is some fine freehand on the loincloth and shoulder pads (all hand painted - no transfers) as well as some subtle sourced lighting from the power axe. 

This Marine has been painted by me (Peter Bell AKA Avicenna), and here is some info to give you an idea of what you are viewing. I have been painting for decades, and am an active member of the British painting scene (you can find me on places like Platoon Britannica and The Forum of Doom), am part of a model group in the south west of the UK called The Jolly Bodgers, and my Cool Mini or Not gallery can be found here. 

I tend to enter quite a few competitions both online and in the real world, my most recent (and most proud) achievement being winning 'Best in Show' at Salute 2011 (Salute is an independant model show held annually in London's Docklands with a very well attended and well known painting comp).

I have provided a number of large photos so you can see exactly what it is you are bidding on. I don't normally sell my painted miniatures, so this is a real chance to pick up a special piece.
