I previously had a Panasonic FZ28 which I really liked, so this camera was an obvious choice. I have now had the FZ100 for a few weeks and have enjoyed the improved features over the FZ28, especially the versatility of the pull out and twist screen. This makes for shooting overhead or low down much easier as well as shots of yourself if you are into that sort of thing. It also folds back onto itself thereby protecting the LCD screen while it is being stored or carried. Although I have some familiarity with Lumix bridge cameras, I have still found the menus easy to follow and fairly intuitive, with adjustments for just about everything. Picture quality, colour, contrast and definition are all as you would expect from a high end bridge camera and the 25mm (SLR equivalent)wide angle is particularly useful. The full 600mm zoom is fabulous when there is enough light to use it, but pushing the ISO even to 400 brings a noticable loss in picture quality. Overall, the camera feels well made, not too heavy, comfortable to hold and easy to use. It can be simply be used on Intelligent Auto with excellent results, but more accomplished photographers can make full use of the extensive array of features including apperture priority, shutter priority or full manual control. It will never give quite as good results as a digital SLR, but if carrying several lenses around isn't your thing, then this camera is certainly worthy of consideration. Although it is rather expensive, bargains can be had if you shop around and the price is dropping all the time.Read full review
Although perhaps now an old model, this camera is was very advanced in it's day and still takes excellent photos for the average camera user! Has settings to suit even the more advanced user, including video. Quality Lens with great zoom range.Being an older model it can be brought at a very good price!

The built in stereo mic works well when recording video, good image quality and excellent zoom considering its age.

I have an older panasonic dmc fz28lumix camera.i wanted to upgrade and found the lumix fz100 camera on E-bay at a good price,so I bought it .The camera arrived promptly, for me to take it to a holiday in the lakes great.Took alot of photographs, when I got home started to print them only to find the photographs very dark and out of focus I ajusted the camera to the settings of my old camera but alas still poor results Iwent to a local camera shop but they could not help.So I contacted the dealer who suggested more ajustments, but still poor results then suggested altering the printer but why ? Ididnot alter the printer for my old camera prints which i must say are very good.So at this point the dealer suggested i return the camera to them for test.At this piont i am very disappointed indeed. The dealer I must say is doing his best to put this problem right. So I am waiting for the results of his test. I have told the dealer I do not want this camera back even to change it for a different model Sorry to be so negetive but this camera was not a cheap one and i expected better from panasonic.Or have i just got a faulty camera? I like to think so. regards Tom.Read full review
One of a series of mid-size Lumix cameras, the FZ 100 is easy to use (for a beginner!), but produced first class images!
