I’m over the moon with this camera! It reminds me of my old Minolta XGM, only on a smaller scale. Versatile, adaptable and fun to use and it’s also the same colour! This camera has put the enjoyment back into photography for me, so I can’t really fault it, perhaps a shame the max aperture is only to f8, f22 would have been better, but I’m not complaining. As it has a decent Leica lens the photos it takes are fantastic both on auto and manual, with great focus and good depth of field when required. I mostly photograph landscapes, for so me the camera is ideal without having the bulk of a SLR. The automatic panorama feature is a nice plus, though I don’t use it that often. Amazing zoom to 720 mm (35 mm equivalent) and good wide angle, with other useful features such as EV, flash and manual tweaking of focus accessible under the right thumb. One of the features I particularly value is the viewfinder. It's excellent and saves me having to put glasses on to see the screen when taking photos. Solidly made and quite weighty, in my opinion it's a quality camera. All in all, too many great features to list!Read full review

I bought the TZ70 for one reason only, the 30x optic zoom, which the Lumix 100 that I usually use cannot deal with. I have some long-view projects to complete and this camera will enable me to do this. At 25-30x zoom the image is acceptable, even surprisingly good. The image stabilisation does a pretty good job but, unsurprisingly, things improve further when using a tripod. The camera came refurbished by Panasonic and so is in excellent condition and works perfectly. At £120.00 this is superb value. As an easy to use, carry anywhere camera it is pretty good but the Lumix does have better IQ. Overall, I am very impressed with the camera, the Panasonic refurb. and the eBay service.

Cameras of this type usually have 20mp sensors. This is far too many on a small 1/2.3 type sensor, which causes too much noise and poor image quality in low light shots. Panasonic got it right by going down to 12mp, which means fewer but much bigger pixels, each capturing more light. The TZ70 is still a very full featured camera which is a joy to use. I was impressed by how smoothly the WiFi functions work. There are only a couple of cons with this camera. The flash is easily obstructed by your fingers when used - a pop-up design would have been better. Also I'd like to have the ability to adjust noise reduction and image sharpening like the Sony cameras offer. On the whole however, I rate this camera as better than all the other travelzoom compacts which cost more, in some cases, double the price.Read full review

Selected the TZ70 over later models as the lower pixel count is more than enough and results in better low light performance. Excellent zoom and easy to use. The camera lives up to the reviews. I prefer the fixed LCD screen as it keeps the weight and bulk down. For a fast, easy to use holiday camera with an ecellent zoom to capture more distand sights, this little pocket sized camera takes some beating

I haven't used it much yet but am impressed with the things that it can do. To use the features properly you will need to download the comprehensive instructions although the point and shoot pictures seem very good. I was seduced into buying by the Leica name on the lens. I'm looking forward to learning to use more of the camera's capabilities.
