Lovely, fresh bread for breakfast. Waking up to that smell in the morning is a gift from God! Of course the delay timer on the breadmaker helps too. I love the "fire & forget" nature of this machine. Just put in all the ingredients, select right the menu, set the timer the night before & there you are. Had an older Panasonic for 10-15 years with no troubles whatsoever until the seed hopper catch broke recently & was no longer available (fav recipes use pumpkin & sunflower seeds, etc). So bought this & it is great. The non-stick bread pan is much more non-stick than the older one ever was, even when new. All I need to do is soak the pan for a few minutes, wash it with a soft cloth or brush (no soap needed) & let it dry naturally (I AM a lazy guy). Just as great as the old one & now using a new wholemeal Spelt & Rye recipe which is delicious. Highly recommend it, (even if you can't if you can get it at £50.00 on eBay like I did). Had a problem with perfect rising of the loaf & am assessing whether it's due to the yeast quality (fast action, new sac het) or sugar level or something else. The dough has risen but not to the extent expected.

The wholemeal 100% has been well...100%! The Panasonic bread maker is a first for me, very easy to use and the bread is brilliant. Much better than shop bought and you know what's in it. Encouraged to try lots more making. Daughter asked for a ciabatta, her favourite, and I will do it ~ no hesitation!

I've only used this for making 50/50 wholemeal white bread. It runs quietly, and I love that it is so easy to install and remove the pan without force, that it mixes the dough without leaving unmixed flour in the corners, and that it dispenses nuts / raisins itself, and the bread turns out very well. Some minor cons, however: because of the auto nut dispenser in the lid, it is too high to store on the worktop if you have top cupboards. It also has a very short flex. Next, the recipe I am using calls for 375 ml water, but ridiculously, the cup supplied only holds 325 ml to the brim- luckily I have kept my old Kenwood cup which holds 450 ml. And finally, the recipe / operation booklet at A4 is too large and floppy to stand up in the side of a cupboard - A5 and thicker would have been easier to manage. The type is slightly too small and poor quality too- some skimping here. Having said that, the machine itself works very well.Read full review

I tried the Panasonic whilst looking after a friend's house and my first loaf was perfect! I'd ordered my own before leaving! I've been making my own bread ever since. Provided you weigh out the ingredients exactly as stated you can't go wrong! My friend's tip was to add a little extra water in the kneading stage if the dough looks to stick to the sides of the container. I follow this every time and great results.
